Feeling achey and tired today. Hubby let the girlie goats out for me while i had a nap. Nearly fell asleep in the tub. Not good. I don't know how i get dehydrated so much with all the water i drink.
Tomorrow it's supposed to rain all day. Just watch, that's when i will have energy.

I'm old. I can't think of anything. I worked as a CNA for years. No one offered up any advice for me either. Life happens.

Olive Eggers are not normally rosecomb. He sure looks pretty though!

Thanks, Troyer, I don't know what he is, I'm just saying I think he has genetics for brown eggs. Because I don't see evidence of him being an Easter Egger (facial hair, so to speak, or a pea comb); nor evidence of being a white-egg layer (white earlobes). I have no reason to believe he is an OE, not at all. But what we're thinking is, if he has genetics of being a brown-egg layer*, and breeds the EE hens, the resulting chicks should be OEs. Does that sound right?

*of course I don't mean HE would lay brown eggs, but that genetically he has the DNA of chicken breed that lays brown eggs ...

Easter Egger hens that lay green eggs already have a brown egg gene, so if you breed them to a rooster with a brown egg gene you should get some olive eggs and some brown eggs, unless of course if the Easter Eggers carry a double blue egg gene then all their offspring will lay olive eggs.
