Cotton farmers are out of luck this year, they'll have to switch to a different crop. They said if they can't get it in the ground by June 8 they're just losing money every day after that point. The fields are still too wet to get into.

BossLady is on some board for some citrus growers. Said it's going to be a rough year for oranges too this year. I believe it, there's a grove on my commute that bloomed much later than usual this year - probably because of all the chilly and rain we had.

Been four years since I've been home. Facebook memories was reminding me. It's hard though. Flights are obscene, can't bring my Goose, don't have anyone I trust him with....ugh. And I think hubs would get donkey-hurt if I said I'm going solo. But...this is the realities.

Spent my time yesterday washing my car, and using some leather cleaner and conditioner I had hubs get me off Amazon. Buttery rich corinthian leather I tells you. Didn't get to vacuum out the inside, but other than that my car's pretty clean. (but girl's cars are always the gross ones, right?)

Need to get some wax though. Sigh. Hubs WRECKED my already wrecked paint trying to "buff it out". Dude needs to leave the detailing to me. I'll post some before pics of the next project - going to probably attack it next weekend. (the Lincoln). Now that it's registered, it's hubs' newest toy and he wants to take it everywhere but ugh, good gods is it gross. Want to shower after any time I sit in it.

Hubs also tried to do a supervised meet with Goose and Mr. Sparkles (as I'm calling him right now....still no pre pubescent crow but that comb and wattles development...that ain't no pullet!) and it did not end well. No harm to Mr. Sparkles, but Goose tried to explore...with his mouth. Sigh.

Is it bad that I'm over work? Like...seriously over it? I have no ambition with my job, no desire, no drive....sigh.

I made sourdough English muffins today. Tonight, actually. I meant for them to slow rise in the fridge over night so I could bake them tomorrow, but ... Frodo, my SDS, is very active and lively and it rose really fast. If I didn't bake it tonight I would have had to clean out the fridge tomorrow, lol. Anyway they turned out pretty good, I think but the ones on the top rack didn't brown. Pics tomorrow.

Hello, is there anybody in there? Been a surprisingly cool day today. Mostly cloudy for one thing. Hits the hundreds starting Thursday. They say 105 Saturday. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they were wrong.

I took my four cockerels to my Mennonite lady to be processed this morning. They'd reached that "little jerk" stage. Not much meat on them but they'll make good dumplings anyway.
