Took my GirlChild to the ER today. Hyperextended her knee again. ... might be the other knee, actually. I have never heard anyone scream like that before. She was in her room next to the living room, where I was, in my recliner. I levitated out of my chair and was across the room in two leaps! Took the ambulance almost 45 minutes to get to us. Our local one was on another call so we had to wait for one from the other side of the county, and stoopid google maps got them lost. They finally found us though. She is in a leg immobilizer and on pain meds and I am beat from looking after her all day. Been a long time since I was a care giver, lol. Don't know how she is going to finish this school term if she can't drive ... guess I will be driving her for a while. Lol, you never know when life is gonna throw you a curve ball, do ya?

That’s for sure. Why an ambulance? You were scared to drive her?

Interesting how the moon orbits. The last full moon rose out of my southeast horizon. A week or so later I woke early and noticed a sliver of moon, just before a new moon, rising above the eastern horizon, a long distance from where it rose when it was full.

Just came back from walking the dog. Saw a slim sliver of moon high in the western sky and what must have been a planet shining nearby. Probably Venus.

Strange weather. We got high temps in the mid 70s. Nights are cold, dipping into 30s. No baby quail. Not many babies of anything at all, except that rattlesnake. You'd never guess tomorrow is the first day of summer.

Yup, the days start getting shorter - at last! Or .. already! DH has to wait up till 8:45 or so to put the chickens to bed. We like to be in bed by 8:30 ourselves.

Have you heard about the group of people that believe the earth is flat? Interesting to think about.

howdy Wishing. How did your day go?

Went okay. I'm still having to rest my back, so I'm on light duty. #1 went for a walk with me tonight. I'm terribly out of shape, huffing and puffing up the hill. Got to get back to walking regularly.
