Granny's gone and done it again

I've had the nap and been borderline overheated twice since then. Must take a day trip up to Montgomery in the morning to have hearing aids repaired. Almost a two hour drive the way we tie up traffic. On my 4th set of clothes today. One more and I'm hitting the shower.

The celebration was well attended. After a bite to eat we listened to the first band, who were quite good, doing 70s rock covers. They were called Mustache Harbor, which explained why several of them had yachting caps on.
Loads of people and fun for the kids. Pi enjoyed himself. The loud music didn't seem to bother him. He's passed out at home now. I'm about to be...

Games, tug of war, bouncy houses, climbing wall, and there was a foam machine that made a huge 4ft pile of suds for the kids to play in. Wish I got a picture. The kids were having a blast.

Blue, thanks! But i am just a shadow of my former self. When we lived in TN, i worked all day. Had about 100 goats and 200 chickens, a bunch of quail, a few ducks, and 40 rabbits. We did an amazing amount of fencing the first year there. And the bulk of the property had been clear cut years before so there was a mountain of dead logs and brush to deal with. I can't tell you how many bonfires i lit after piling up a stack of logs , brush, and leaves. I am quite good at lighting fires. And planting forage as the pastures were cleaned up.
I know... I used to think nothing of tossing 60- to 75-lb bales of hay around, loading them on the pickup then going home and stacking them in the barn. Then training a horse or two, followed by an afternoon ride just for fun all while doing laundry, cooking, gardening, canning, juicing, training dogs, baking bread to sell and more. But ... I'm not 27 years old any more! This body just isn't up to what it used to be able to do. So I just do what I can and ... that's good enough.
