Hi Granny, sorry about your little hen, very sad. Sounds like you've had an exhausting day. My hatch is all over the place. Only had the one hatch yesterday. Today has 5 others have hatched, but humidity spiked majorly late this afternoon. What has been hatching are sopping wet, shell stuck on them, a royal mess. Still have a number of pips so I don't dare open the bator, but I'm afraid the remaining eggs will have drowning chicks. Very frustrating, I hate drawn out hatches. Spent the afternoon digging & cleaning in 2 of my flower beds & let after dinner went with hubs & split & stacked wood for 2 hours. I'm hurting really bad, going to pay tomorrow. Still a lot wood to deal with so we will see how that goes. Not staying on so this is a Hi & goodbye to everyone. Fingers crossed that the rest of these chicks hatch soon. Night everyone,Camoing, did ragnars son happen to slip in the back door ? hahaa Maybe when she had them someone did. would be my guess .
ALLY CAT !!You could of made a quick $50.00 if nothing else.
Good question, h20.. Why does Twist answer the phone to her ? I think caller id is cheep if you dont have it already. LOL
Wishing 4hrs. is that still called a nap ?
Twist, Beautiful day ! I didnt bring anything home but just found a baby chick outside . LOL
The swap sucked, mostly roosters there. wellies , $20.00 amber link, $15.00 (very sweet) And I wanted it but guy played dirty pool. He called CB over there and put it in his lap where it snuggled right down (POL ) I didnt know what they were but thought that too much. I took 3 seramas to this lady that wouldnt stop. $30.00 She waited there for 3 hrs. for me.
sad news, I found my little white frizzled serama this am. prolapsed. I brought her in and gave her a warm soak. I picked her up to look and it was ripped and poop came out the tear . I culled her . That was my first prolapse . Poor baby, I hope she hadnt suffered long before I found her.
I was going to take that hen that killed her babies and give it to this woman and I picked her up and heard peeping . I looked at every egg she had and couldnt find it so I sat her back down. It was dry already and I took it and put it with the other babies They are bigger then it but they werent bothering it.

Day 14 for my EHAL eggs. I just candled and 2 quitters. Down to 14 eggs. All 9 from mine are alive still. We'll see if they hatch. Some made it to lockdown but most quit the last week of incubation.
