I know she didn't abort. Begining to think maybe that royal calf I found was her's.

Tibbit and Granny aren't related. Although 4 or 5 of the cows out there now are his 1/2 sister's,

I know for sure that the dead one today was Granny's as she still had a little something stuck to her back side and tail.

After no cleft palate was found they did a lot of line breeding. I/2 brother to 1/2 sister. Those bull calves from that cross brought a lot of money.

and now not only to the calves get "groped" but the tail lifted and check for 2 openings. Before calling bull or heifer.

I had a hankering to feed out a steer for our freezer. It would take a long time for two of us to consume that much meat. A small chuck roast was $20 the last time I browsed the meat case.
