Granny's gone and done it again

I've been feeding them cracked corn instead of layer pellets. They don't eat as much corn so I think that's why they may be eating eggs & I haven t been home during the day to pick up eggs multiple times.

thats probably why but who knows, they love the egg.

day went not to badly. Nope sure how many games we actually played, I do remember that one took over and hour we took turns going set.

yes, I did, the swap itself was a bust for us. but he ate good. LOL I kept kissing him and I think he enjoyed every min. of it. I didnt want to take him home and told him so. LOL

Morning grannyland, dark, gloomy & raining today. Feels like I should go back to bed lol. Thats not going to happen, have supplies & groceries to get in town. My hatch is complete, had 12 in lockdown, lost one that started to pip, but died before it could finish. It was a very large chick. As far as I can tell my roo streek continues. Had 8 CCL eggs in the bator, 5 are roos & 3 are female. Had 2 Bielefelder eggs in ~ both roosters. I have one mixed breed that sex is unknown. So my average isn't so good, 7 for sure roosters out of 11 hatched eggs

This is why I shouldn't incubate. 7 chicks hatched on their own. I assisted 4 chicks because the humidity went way too high & I was afraid of them drowning in the shell. Their exposed membrane on them were a brownish color. I hope everyone has a good day. Granny, maybe after a few more cups of coffee you'll feel better, fingers crossed, love you & BIG

you had 11 of 12 hatch ? How is that a bad hatch ? I dont think I like the sex at hatch chicks. Be careful in town. It is warm and windy here. 79 yesterday.
