I made fried chicken breasts today. Learning how to make GOOD fried chicken has been on my bucket list for a long time now. I got a little closer today. Fortunately, my DH LIKES charred chicken! So he got that one. I got the 2nd one, it was only dark brown, not black. And the last one I cooked was the Goldilocks one.

I like mine medium, fully cooked while still retaining the juiciness.

Me too. I wonder if men ever accidentally find themselves in the Ladies'?

To my dismay, yes. Then I wonder if someone is going to be suspicious that I did it on purpose.

Today would have been my only sibling and a younger brother's 71st birthday. He is sorely missed.

Had a little nap and now need to see what's going on out back. With these kids there is no telling what they will get into next.

I got quite a bit done today but not nearly what I wanted to. An afternoon nap tempted me and I fell for it. It was hot out there today but not as hot as it has been. I still soaked my clothes I keep looking at the long term weather with promises of cooler days to come soon.

Seems like it's been quite awhile now since Twist dropped in. I hope all is going well with all the ventures he has going on besides his farming.

Well. Hubs got Ranch Truck 2.0 put together. Turns out the trans in it is…not good. So he’s cursing. Trying to find a rebuild kit.

I got the inside of my car wiped out and leather conditioned today. Look at my ambition. Also got some laundry done, FOLDED AND PUT AWAY *gasp* and did some work stuff. That’s one box of backlog that can get off my home desk.

Didn’t get everything accomplished I wanted to but…I dunno. I’m burnt.

I can't remember the name of the company that rebuilds transmissions but they have been in business a long long time. Google would know them. Then there is the salvage yards where the trans was not damaged in an accident that totaled a vehicle. That's to risky for me.
