What a long boring day.

Just got back from running around with the kids. I'm ready for a nap. How's Robert's tummy?

Finished my nap and have been outside doing more chores. I shot a stray dog today breaking into one of my chicken coops. I'd do it again. Stray dog vs 1000 dollars in hens.... No brainer.

I got to go back out now and finish with one coop before I can come back in and eat a good supper. Then I'm relaxing the rest of the day.

Does it weigh a pound?

Did not weigh it. Gets its name from original recipe: a pound each of eggs, butter, sugar, flour. (Also needs salt and vanilla.) But those proportions would make a HUGE cake, or several cakes, lol. It is heavy, though! Like, um ... banana bread, sorta. Dense.

That's 'cuz my egg yolks are a deep yellow, almost orange color. Chickens forage most of the day. Lotsa greens. And right now, grasshoppers! I have one customer at the moment and she drives 30 miles for these golden yolks!

Poor Robert. Stomach pain woke him up. He took his meds for it. It goes under the tongue so works sorta fast. He was moaning pretty bad. I rarely hear him like that. It tears me up to see him in pain. Just cant handle it I guess
