Tom and I will be married 29 yrs on the 7th and his Bday is the 28th he will be 86

Chickens are locked up for the night. We are locked in for the night. Predators are locked out for the night. If it would work I'd take my meds now and spread out on my roost.

DH said there was a possum trying to roost with the chickens tonight. I have a 5-gal bucket on the floor in a corner with half a bag of grit in it. It's there to keep the hens from laying in that corner. Our visitor was in that bucket, curled up for the night. DH shooed him out the door. That's all I need, a freeloader in the hen house. Said he was full grown, too, not a youngun.

I definitely would! Between raw pecans and raw cashews I have difficulty deciding which I like best.

Supper time on the farm is fried hash browns, over easy eggs and canned fried chicken. It was fit for a king!

Wait, what? First you fry it, then you can it? Sounds soggy, not crispy. 'Splain yourself, please, how does this work?
