I bought a bag of dried split peas today; Any tips for cooking them? I have some ham.

I just cook them in water with salt. We think they are delicious just as they are.

Tom has pus running down his leg with his sock being soaked. Sore on leg. He wont go to er. I cleaned it best I could. He has been telling me for 2 days he didnt feel well.

Granny, will he let you put charcoal on it? Get activated charcoal capsules from walmart and break some open into a small dish or bowl. Depending how big the wound is, put some Neosporin or Vaseline on a band-aid, put the charcoal on that, and put the band-aid over the wound. Change twice daily. It is really messy but can have a good effect. Wash the wound and dry it good before putting the charcoal poultice on.
