Sweet Dreams Warm Fuzzies and Prayers for all

I went out and moved a few birds around. First I did the legbar and black EE to the bottom of the tractor. Then I moved the four honas to the pen that the legbar and EE just left. One-Eyed Jack still feels thin in the keel, so maybe I'll worm them. The other three felt fine. I got Jack and a hen first, and went back for Gyda and Lagertha. When I grabbed Gyda she squawked and Lagertha ran to the back. When I pulled Gyda out she screamed and Lagertha puffed up and charged me! She attacked my hand, but that made her easier to grab. ;)

I wanted to move the quarantine birds to the tractor for their "look but don't touch" stage, with the legbar and EE as buffers. They can all make friends, and the legbar and EE can help the others acclimate to the farm. But I need to move the tractor first, so they're spending one more night in the cage.

Well I think I figured out which chick is the EE out of the ones I hatched last week. I had 3 that were colored similar. The one has a flat comb the other 2 have a single comb.
It should have puffy cheek fluff too!

I can see toes, so didn't consider a cochin... the cutest of birds! Mine had wildly feathered feet, I never saw their toes. I would have a ton in a heartbeat if they didn't have feathered feet.

Camp, 2 words for you. Chick envy !

I cant even get eggs. That little cochin is adorable.

I trimmed some bushes around the front door today wanting to get the front porch cleaned up. I can see the rest of the yard now from the porch. I started to clean the chairs and there are little holes under the frames and I pizzed something off. Looks like honey bees to me but they wouldnt nest in a frame so No clue. Besides tape or bubble gum Is there a permanent product for metal to fill in the holes ? the are tiny and No clue why they would be designed like that.. There are also a lot of them so something easy . Any ideas ?
DUCT tape. If it's good enough for the International Space Station, it will thwart some puny insects.

I get those type occasionaly NOTHING wrong with them , I think the eggs are layed before the shell it totally hard
Sometimes, before it hardens completely, an egg gets crunched or cracked on it's way down the oviduct. Then some more shell is deposited and covers the cracks.

I zoomed in and those aren't toes, they're feathers!

she had her feet tucked up. It rained a hundred inches yesterday so everything is swamped.

aww... she's even cuter close up!!! but those are feathers, so I guess you can keep her.

Does that coloring have an official name? confetti? calico? I got my bantam cochins from a woman on byc that was working on "confetti." Pretty. I got mine when they were older, so never saw them as chicks. Adorable overload!

Goodnight h2o!
