Granny's gone and done it again

I talked to a woman that worked where Bandit got neutered. I asked about that spot that looked burned. That is exactly what they do. They knock them out ( I hope) and cauterize them.  Its cruel IMO.   And seems to me like it could be very possible that some tissue is left behind.  If you ever need an animal broken make sure you ask how they do it.

What? That's weird. Never heard of that. At the clinic I worked at we knocked them out, shaved the scrotum and made an incision down the middle. Then one at a time pop a testicle out clamp, cut and tie it off. Then stitch or glue the incision back together. We also sent pain meds home to use the next day because they got a shot of it while under.

I guess thats the difference between a good vet and a $5.00 neuter. Pitiful No pain meds.

My favorite is team penning which is usually on a different day and NOT all rodeo's do it. 3 riders and small herd of cattle with paper numbers on top of hips and the riders need to separate a called out number from the rest of the herd and then drive JUST those 3 down to the other end of the arena.

Cowboys, clowns  , bull riding and barrel racing ?  That would be a day to remember..   My niece rode a bull. there is a video of it somewhere.

My fair use to have one when I was younger. It was the coolest thing! They even had sheep riding for the younger kids! That got a good laugh!

Houston rodeo goes on for 3 weeks...
There is so much to see and do at it you almost can not just only go once.
Although everything is so darn expensive at it.

3 weeks!? Man that's a long time.
