It's the time of year for chili. Right now I can still have beans. One doc wanted me off of them once because of stomach problems that I don't have now.

That works. We use white pepper. No hard outer bark on the pepper that can't be digested. White pepper is from the black pepper and now can be digested.

I've noticed when shopping that beans have really gone up in price. I think at least doubled for red beans we use in chili.
