I feel like there was a movie where a girl tried to kill one cause it kept her up at night. Idc about the law tbh, also says we can't kill buzzards but it's fine for them to kill calves and goat kids. Picked the eyes and hip clean from a set of newborn twin calves. And went after a week old calf.
Oh my goodness! Those must be the black vultures?? they seem nasty... saw a documentary about how some in Florida were roosting on peoples' houses and literally tearing the roofs off! They put water sprinklers up there to chase them off. Glad we only have turkey vultures here. Ugly things, but very timid and docile.

If it keeps doing that, look up star gazers disease... can be fixed with a vitamin supplement, but I for get which one.

I should breeds and sell 4h birds.

I bought 8 bantams with black, feathered legs, black beaks,5 toes. Think they are silkies Cochin mixes. TSC for $2.24 each.
Silkie feather is recessive, so it they are crosses, they will have regular feathers.

Chicks everywhere !!!! Camp, what is the big blue one ? LOL I am excited.
75 more Twist ? What are you doing with the older ones ? Say, the ones you ordered 3 yrs. ago?
Pasty butt yolk, Did the yolk come off ? Bet he is growing good. yogurt ?
Got another baby today too. LOL I didnt even check to see if it was a mix or not. They will be swap bound.
Robert is mowing the dog yard !!

Danna, You said, It pipped and you looked at it and it is moving. Are you opening the bator and candling ? If so your humidity may not be high enough. They can take take 24 hrs. or so to zip after they pip. Its the zip itself that shouldn't take more then half hr.
Camping, They cant/wont drown after they pip if the humidity is too high right ? Not sure on that but I think so .

This is why I don't have an incubator. I would be obsessing. But it's so cool to see them hatch. Can't wait to see them all dry and adorable.

I am here today. But now I have to got peel the potatoes and get them on the stove. should have done a long time ago, but I got caught up reading the 40 pages I am behind.
Back in a little bit!

Wishing, glad your caught up. Aint that something about the mower ? I honest to God thought I had split my breast in 2. Thats how bad it hurt. Still no mark there and still hurts. I never had such a rough time like that . I am thinking my eyes maybe..

off visiting a bull for breeding. She loaded up fine but was a little skittish (gotta run on 40 acres without humans messing with her) and had really no halter manners. Dad spooked her when I was trying to get her halter on in the trailer and jumped THROUGH the sucide hatch (I had it open so I could get out, thinking she couldn't fit!) and we spent a hour and a half chasing her around the pond on three acres, had to rope her butt and almost got me and dad drug -_- she was in timeout tied to a tree in her small pen for a while before being release with her halter on so I can work on her manners.

oh my reminds me when we got muffin. He was a supposedly tame Pygmy buck. Dad wouldn't let me in to grab him and thought opening the drop down door was a bright idea. Spent 3 hrs chasing him down.

Glad you 2 are in one piece!

Btw the cow IS halter broke but decided to "forget" she was.

Where's the fun in being good? Especially after her field trip with lover boy lol

Aw cute! Bet y'all had fun!

I got the caulk in the chair holes and the cushions tossed in the yard.  Robert tried to help but he discovered we also have wood bees . I dont think those sting.  He was not a happy camper so I told him to go back in.

I have bad luck with anything with wings. What're you doing with the cushions?

We use to only have turkey but then in early 2000's they showed up. They are really aggressive.

Quirky is fine. He was just being well quirky lol after he was dry he went and put his head in a shell then started screaming

Since I put him in the brooder he's been normal.

Granny did you see my new pullets?
What are they ? cochin mix ? I did, was trying to figure out what they were.
She said they're cochins. They've been picking feathers, so hard to say right now.

I give up ! Rock salt ? very cool and the star on the blue one in the upper right is my fav.
Sugar crystals. DD was disappointed how they turned out. Bubba had a little blower, put the marker in and blow. That's how I made starbursts. DD dropped that egg getting in a hurry, so I did that one.

Ally, I need to clean them. sweep the porch off scrub the cushions and dust the wood floor for critters then as my mom used to say Coffee on the veranda ! We always drank coffee out there in the am when it was warm .
