Granny's gone and done it again

You do not want pneumonia with your ribs hurting like they are. 😬
Just imagine a pneumonia cough with broken ribs? I used mine when stapled shut. Been deep breathing with broken ribs hurting or not. Got to go back outside one more time and then I done till noon tomorrow. It's very coldish and windy out.

Tomorrow I have to move feed. I may can call a friend over and trade some eggs for lifting a few bags of feed. :) Need to move a 4x 8 sheet of OSB board too.
You just don't have a Slow Down button in you, do you, Larry?

I've been taking short breaks between chores. Had to clean & disinfect the brooder and get new chicks moved into it today. Did that in short segments. Got the mud fixed where I fell yesterday. Got 4 coops to check on now and I'm done. Having a ham, sweet potato, and pineapple stir fry soon. Not staying up late if I can help it.

Today I cleaned out the little shed we use as a brooder for the teen-age, 8-week old chicks. The bedding was wet and some of it was compacted. It was cold outside and not a pleasant day to work in. DH helped and we got it all cleaned out, dry bedding put in. They'll be happier. Also opened the gate separating them from the big girls. Three of them did get into the big girls' area, no problems except that then they couldn't find their way back without help. It's kind of a maze and chickens have a one-way brain. In a week or so we will close off their access to their brooder and integration will be complete.
