Granny's gone and done it again

At almost 3 weeks they are not quite as big as bowling balls. I can't help it, I drool every time I look at them!

are they under lights 24/7 ?? do you put their food up at night ?? I have read this will help slow their growth a little so you don't have them dropping dead from heart attacks or their legs breaking.

I hate to poop out early but I am starving and tired , and hungry. And have to get up about 6:45 so the coffee can kick in before I get out the farm and have to be socialalbe.

I wish you all a good night, sweet dreams, warm fuzzies, prayers and healing thoughts.

They are not under lights 24/7, no. We do leave their food and water in their brooder at night but they are under a red light at night and they sleep until we turn on the white light in the morning. This is what we've always done with all our chicks and when we check on them at night, they sleep.

Good night, Twist. Have a good day tomorrow

I will be planting tomatoes next week knowing I may have to cover them a time or two. I try to get a few in the ground for some early slicers for the table and plant a main crop for canning a couple of weeks later once I'm sure of not more frosts. The same goes for summer squash. 3-4 hills of yellow and zucchini with plantings 2-3 weeks apart.
Do you have a pecan tree?
