I like a particular variety of cabbage that has a small core and not much hard white leaf. Jersey Wakefield I think is the name of it.

We like the purple cabbage best. Milder flavor?

I just tried stuffed green pepper for the first time. It was good but the pepper had a skin on it I couldnt eat.

Granny, I parboil the peppers - blanch them, actually - before stuffing and baking them, and then find that the skins are softer and much easier to digest.

We actually had one tonight! My daughter surprised me. She had said she was having a get together for her son, my grandson because his birthday was a few days ago. I wasn't feeling that great. I really didn't feel up to going. Bronwyn says, come even if you just say hi - bye. She knew. I went. There they were. All of my children that I had. My 5. Bill was here from Mexico. Doing some work for a while. A son that lives 5 hrs South. My Richard. Austin. My Mindi. I walked in and saw Dustin..thar lives 5 hrs away. I ask..what are you doing here? They all laugh, then I see my son from Mexico. What's going on I ask. I got a lot of hugs. Food was great. Hawaiian Pork done in a crock pot all day. A lot of yummy different foods.
