Granny's gone and done it again

I've got to go back out and tend 3 coops that had to wait while I brought an injured pullet in to see the farm nurse. She is going to need tome TLC for a few days or maybe a few weeks. She has a wound on the bottom side of her right wing. Doctored with triple antibiotic cream. Crop was empty and we finally got her to eating some egg yolk and S/G crumbles. She is going to me fine with time. She is no longer in shock. I don't know what happened but she is very week in her legs. We went through this with another pullet a few months back.

Hi peeps, I have been asked to start a new /continued thread here because Grannys got a big mouth and may be responsible for some glitches on BYC .

I have been a member on here for about 3 yrs. and have posted mainly in my own thread. The old thread will not be closed but I do ask my family and any new friends to please post here.

We are a family based thread meaning that the people that post here become very close to each other. We strive to treat each other with respect and kindness. We are for the most part a mature themed group. Lots of cutting up and a little bit about chickens. Hopefully you will find homemade crafts, Gardening tips, home life, a few recipes (not mine , your welcome) Yaks galore, A whole hog-pog of chickens from mutts to high brows. and maybe a goat or two.

To my family, I am sorry I am dragging you around and all our pictures, memory's are stored somewhere else. Hopefully , together , we can begin anew like we were never interrupted.

To any that wish to jump in Welcome to Grannys.
Hello this looks like fun and very informative. I am new to chickens I pick them up next week. I have 4and they are raised together but are different breeds. I am looking forward to some advice. I do like to name and spoil my animals. Hopefully they will want to be spoiled too

I deep-cleaned the front half of the coop this morning. Shoveled out a whole bunch of old shredded paper. Also removed two plastic nests on the coop floor the hens used to like but haven't used since before I found the snake and replaced them with four other, bigger plastic boxes I found in the woodshop. They are like milk crates only bigger. Filled them with fresh paper DH brought home from work. Hope the new nests make them happy. Came in and guzzled some GatorAde, it's bloody hot out there today!
