Granny's gone and done it again

We had a very slight chance of rain today. The last good chance not a drop. Today we had one little cloud we could see as we started chicken chores. The we got a monsoon before I could unload the cart on the compost pile. Chickens have water and they will not starve before morning. Ma had a sun umbrella on her cart and after waiting for an hour of being held hostage in a coop we left our gear in the hospital coop and made a dash (limping crawl) for the house. Supposed to rain now until 9 tonight. I will not be watering. This all made me think back about 4500 years or so about how burnt offerings were offered up. I had just started the fire to cremate Honey when the clouds appeared and the rains came. What a blessing not only to us but all those around us with peanut, cotton, and corn fields needing rain ever so bad.
