Marked LEG? Those are leghorns. I don't think I sent legbar other than topaz, right? I don't remember what I sent. I was trying so hard to make the PO before it closed, still didn't.

They lay those nice big eggs every single day. Topaz takes days off. They're both fertile by Jim, so LEG will be 3/4 leghorn and 1/4 legbar with 75% chance of being isabel. Topaz will be half leghorn and half legbar, and may or may not be barred, with 50% chance of being isabel.

It's likes learning a new language. I have to keep repeating til it makes sense.

Pam, put the eggs that the air cells are small over by the turner motor. That will help then lose a little faster. The egg marked BEL is the Bielefelder & they are notoriously terrible about losing the desired weight they need to. On day 14 I lightly sanded the top part of the egg with very fine sandpaper. They still struggled with hatching. Least I knew to assist this last time. It was so sad losing so many as I did my first hatch. They would start zipping then die before they finished.
