thats awesome! what kind of peas are they? I was thinking the little round green ones but thats not right is it?

These are Zipper Cream peas. Named Zipper Creams as they are a type of cream pea and they are much easier to shell. A member of the Cow Pea family like the more familiar Black Eyed Peas that a lot of people eat New Years day with Hog Jowl. Ma's in the kitchen blanching them now and putting into freezer bags.

Y'all be good today. Hopefully the forecast is right and no rain until after dark so I can get a good 4 hours in the garden today. Going to eat lunch and go to work. Been to town and got feed and peanut butter and Ma a gallon of milk.

We got about 4 gallons of shelled peas. I'm taking a break to eat a bite of lunch then going to get them into freezer bags. I'll let you know how many bags I get when they are done.
