Granny's gone and done it again

I am having a bad good for nothing day so far. All I wanted was coffee. Im broke and havent paid insurance yet and we needed some food. So, I said screw it , grabbed the check book and off to town I went. I was trying to be frugal and only get what I had to have including creamer . My legs are screaming from mowing the other day. Anyway, Get to check out and TADA... No checks in the check book. No cash for even the creamer. So back home for checks and Tom is waiting to unload for me. hahaa Back to town, get the food and back home and of course he is no where to be found. I have a humongous head ache now from no caffeine. Forgot to tell him to take the deer meat out and did you guys know deer is much harder to thaw then hamburger ? I didnt. Anyway, I made chili and Tom helped me make tacos. They are eating now. I am making up for some lost coffee time.

I'm 25. People always think I'm younger, no worries.

thank you ! Its hard to joke with someone not knowing their age or if I am saying something I shouldnt. I am going to assume at 25 I am not going to teach you something you dont all ready know.

BYW, deer meat was a hit for Tom and Robert. Tom said he never had it before either. I thought there was something wrong with my stove and the meat wasnt cooking because no grease came out. LOL Might of ended up with a half teaspoon after it was done.

Morning. Stormed bad last night. Around 5 am lightning struck somewhere on camp; boys in cabin 2 said they felt the electricity. We lost power a few minutes later. Without the fans blowing I could hear the farm and realized every single rooster was crowing. Power was out about 4 hours. I was home for breakfast, but they made French toast on the gas stove. Just went and checked the brooders, and both bulbs are blown. One was pretty new, so I'm assuming it was from the lightning. I think a power surge would've affected more things.

Scary stuff ! Everyone ok ?

Yep, we're all fine. I haven't looked for the strike, but it wasn't a building. Cabin 2 is close to my house, so I'll look around between the two if I get a chance. I'm always curious in stuff like that. Temp is in the mid 60s and all the babies (3-4 weeks) seem fine. I guess I'll only give them heat at night.

Chickens fed, seen a pip in one of killers 2 eggs left. Didnt look at the others. they peck. ouch. I had one chicken from each coop fly at me and hit the fence. I dont know why. They still had food and water. Startled me. Never seen that before .

Mixed some brownies and set the timer on the stove for Tom and took off for my shower. Thoug
