Checking in late. Been rough couple days. Weather is not being kind to us. Found two of my babie chickies dead today due to wet/ extreme windy conditions. Stupid mom chicken. I went out to find her sitting in the grass with two babies under her and the wind is literally blowing like 40miles per hour and it's cold!!! Finally got her to go in the coop!

Just seen an ad for serama chicks for $6.00 Same guy in town that has been advertising polish and a few expensive chicks cheep. Wonder whats up with that ? They are not legal in Versailles and he seems to have a lot. and at very cheap prices. hmm.. fishy.

I just did something dumb . Last egg still no external. Been internal for 2 days that I know about. Lisa said it was ready to hatch when she was here. Killer left it, left the nest and skipped over to another nest and kicked the hen off. I was going to cage her but decided to give that egg an external. It was pipped sure but not ready to hatch and I hit a blood vein. I took her off the nest she was on and put her back on hers with the bloody chick. It will probably die even though it was just a drop of blood. If I put it in the bator I could save it but no way Im messing with my eggs.
If it dies because she pecks the blood did she kill it or did I ?

Yes, it is not a warranty, but the Walmart replacement plan. Dogs and clumsiness are covered. When did you get the phone? The plan was good for 2 yrs.

Did all of you ladies have a little basket of goodies and a ringing/rung doorbell. I remember do that and then running away most of the time

This sounds mildly illegal. Not sure I'm getting the concept. A lady rings your doorbell and trades you a cookie or something for a kiss. Like you are doing her such a favor to eat her goodies that she rewards you by giving you a kiss? Or are you carrying the goodies? Either way, I don't wear lipstick.

What is the going rate for a well bred barnyard mix pol pullet?

20 bucks is usually about it unless it is a special breed. Maybe more if it is already laying or lays a nice colored egg.

Morning all, very rough night and start to the day.
Went to bed at midnight was woke at 2-3 dont remember. BANG CRASH in my room ! and a horrible odor. I sit up and Frosty is freaking out. Pup outside the room is raising Cain. Frosty is trying to jump on the bed and falls then limping then keeps trying. She finally makes it up and is panting hard. drooling. Star is hiding in the corner. They are both terrified. I get up, panic, grab my clothes and turn the light on. There it is, A big pile of fresh steaming stinky crap. I look at frosty and she is curled back up on the bed with that little tail doing the low thump. You known the one, Im busted , please dont kill me. What I heard was PAYBACK . LOL I gave them about a teaspoon each of my chili. So after cleaning carpet and letting them all outside I tried to get back to bed. Pup decided he was done with bedtime. I had to give him a treat before he would go and as soon as he heard the jar rattle he dive bombed his crate. Then the other 2 decided if he got a treat they should too. I dont think so Frosty !
I had to sleep with my fan on high and now not only am I stiff I am also stopped up and a big headache.
Its all up hill from here right ?

I was supposed to go to the dentist with DH today but he made me stay home to clean. He's having two root canals. poor thing, he was on the verge of a meltdown just at the consultation. Hopefully he's getting me a Mother's Day present, too.

I don't know what to do for my mom. :/ I should make cards and get them in the mail.
