Finally got a shower, felt so good but so weird having help. Nancy said I have silver dollar sized open wound on one side of my tail end and smaller on the other side Finally heard back from Dr. She said call squad and go to ER. I'm not doing it.

It's a cool 81° now as we head out to feed and water. We replace all water now as they are getting corrid water.

I've devised a way to move feed without lifting 50lb bags. I'm leaving empty bags in the metal trash cans in the coops and using the dump cart to move 5 gallon buckets of feed to the empty bags and refilling them 5 gallons at a time.

Chores done before dark for once. Ma's going to do a surgical procedure tomorrow on one of our big heavy Cornish x Rock girls. She has a wound that needs to have the scab removed and cleaned out and packed according to Doc Ma. She did this as a paid pro job on people so I guess she must no what she's going to do to this 15lb hen. We have 3 of these girls and two of the three must weigh in at 15 or more pounds. The light loafer must weigh a measly 12 pounds.
