Granny's gone and done it again

@Cynthia12, your aquarium looks beautiful and I'm glad you got some new fish. They look very happy there.

Granny, I agree with microchick, those sores on your hiney need attention ASAP or ... well, bad things can happen.

Larry, what kind of ice cream? Did you get enough to share?

Finally got a shower, felt so good but so weird having help. Nancy said I have silver dollar sized open wound on one side of my tail end and smaller on the other side Finally heard back from Dr. She said call squad and go to ER. I'm not doing it.
Bad Granny! Bad!

In other news ... I'm going to worm my chickens again this weekend, this time with Ivermectin. I plan to put 3 drops on each bird. Some are laying, some are not. Will repeat in 10 days. Do I need to discard the eggs again for the 10 days in between plus 14 days after?

When we wormed we didn't bother discarding the eggs because we're the only ones using them (and the chickens get some scrambled sometimes). The minute amounts that make it into an egg... well, at the worst it would just worm us humans, they are the same meds used in humans. But the dose isn't strong enough for our body mass, and the hens don't absorb most of it, so who cares. I would not sell or gift the eggs, just in case.
But remember when half the silly people in the US were dosing themselves with ivermectin from the feed store? lol

I had such a weird, long day. Managed to finally get the car vacuumed after 8 months of using it to store and tote stuff back and forth to the storage unit. There was so much sand and shavings in there! Had to go over everything 60 times, oy. My muscles feel like noodles. Going to bed early.
BUT, I found a $20, then a moment later another $20! I was like 🤯 🥳
Got the fun of playing a guessing game and showing the bills to mom... she reminded me that about 4 months ago I swore I was missing $40 from getting cashback at the store. We searched our purses and the house. Why did I never think to look under the driver's seat between the electronics and seatbelt doohicky?

I do remember, but I was not one of them. Covid is not horse worms, but let's not go there. People did what they thought best and everybody has that right. I have no customers at the moment but I do donate my eggs to the local Bread Shed. Just on the off chance that someoone might be sensitive to the wormer, I'll discard them.

Lucky you! :highfive:

Probably not. It's got a major dent in it already. It will be gone before the GK's visit I'm sure. We never taint fresh peaches with any thing other than vanilla.

The chickens do appreciate the eggs too!

What are horse worms? They get lots of kinds. I know you said you were dealing with red worms. We had those too. I'm pretty sure it's normal to need to worm again some weeks later.

Am I the only one who thinks it's a bit weird that people accept others actually dosing themselves with large amounts of wormer, but find it risky that someone would eat an egg containing a possible tiny amount second hand? I just find it baffling. Not you, I know you just want to keep your family safe, but that the two ideas can exist out there in the same heads without internal conflict.

Lucky you! :highfive:

We thanked God! Maybe He wanted us to have it this month 🥰

Off to bed, nighty night!
