While we were keeping my mom at our place after her falls began to come more often and more serious I even put a fridge in her room so she wouldn't have to walk as much. Evidently she thought I had better stuff in mine than she did in hers. I told her I would buy her anything she wanted for hers. Well one night she slipped into the kitchen and found a box of nuclear hot wings. The next day she came into the kitchen while I was getting stuff out of the fridge and ask me what was in that box. I knew she had been in it as there was one missing. I told her those were extra hot chicken wings and she remarked that they were very hot and she had to spit it out. I weaned her.

Double yikes! Good thing you didn't fall down! Send some of that wet stuff down here to the SE portion of the state, wouldja? The grass is getting crispy down here.

Seriously, nope they didn't say a word. Something like a 10% chance of showers or thunderstorms. They hadn't changed the rain chances even when we were getting peppered with pea sized hail. Boogers.

If you check the radar look at the north central part of the state. There's another strong cell of rain and thunderstorms to the south west of us. Now they are saying a 30% chance of rain. I swear they could screw up a free meal.

We'd only had 2 inches all of August so far. We may see 6 inches when all is said and done. Our grass was getting crunchy also and my squash plants are dying off along with my pumpkin vines. I got 11 butternut squash harvested and there are three spaghetti squash picked and one more to go. Waiting till the vines die back more before I pull the pumpkins. This rain may give the vines a bit of a pick me up.

what caused her to fall?

She kinds of slid her feed over a thick carpet and would get tripped by the carpet itself. The last fall at my brother's place she walked into a door facing and knocked herself down and messed up some of her pelvis area pretty bad. She never admitted to it but there was just nothing in the doorway to trip her but she swore there was. She finally had to do some long term rehab that didn't work and from there to a very nice skilled nursing center.
