Haven't gotten our new truck back from the garage yet after the steering and brakes locked last week while DH was trying to drive home. Did however find out the manufacturer failed to tighten things up and all the steering fluid leaked out. The brakes failed because of that. Lucky he wasnt going down the highway or he likely wouldn't be here anymore. But now he's scared to drive it ... Working through stuff ..

I think I need this in my life..

Way back when we lived in the northside burbs of Detroit we too went and picked fresh fruit. All I ever remember picking was peaches. Apples are about to get ripe down here now and I want 2 bushels. Some for making apple-muscadine preserves and some for apple sauce and some for fresh eating mixed banana, apple, & peanut butter. Ma is know for skillet cooking apples and cinnamon too. I'm sure she will make apple chips in her dehydrator to go with banana chips and peanuts in a trail type mix. No doubt that she will even make an apple/banana bread if I petition here just right.

Apple jelly is my favorite made with peels and cores but mom used to make a mean fried apple pie with canned biscuits. I know how to make them but Im sure they wouldn't taste the same.

There’s a spiritual aspect to it, while it may be dark to some there’s others that respond to with anticipation.

Of course, I never thought that far ahead. I guess I went straight to that dark place.
