Thank you Granny, but it's okay it was temporary. Momma worked her butt off to get us in a better situation. Part of the "getting away from awful father" saga, as he used a lot of financial and religious strings to try to control everyone.
I feel worse for folks who can't get away, or feel like they can't, or who have family exerting emotional pressure to keep them from making choices of their own.
I worry and I hope that you feel like you have the freedom to make changes if you ever decide on that course for yourself. Of course I simply don't know enough about your situation, but with your sons condition and the family farm and your husbands health... it just seems like a scenario where you might feel stuck.

Both of my kids had it really bad. My daughter got shots in her hip 3xs in a row and couldn't walk because of them. I had to bring her to the Drs every day and they put her in ice at the ER. I laid with her and covered us both up and her fever broke.
All the skin on Roberts feet. the bottom, peeled off like glue. He stopped eating for a long time. His teacher came to the house and got him to drink an ensure.

Yes but you must. My GC has been pushing the fluids today. And trying to get good nutrition too although she's not wanting solids either. She had tomato soup for lunch.

True! But I was happier when we were staying in a tent the woods in Maine. It was peaceful and I had the doggies and a crate of library books to plow through. When it got cold and my turtle's tank started freezing over every night, Mom decided we needed to go to the old family church in Ohio and ask for help. The reverend suggested we go to the shelter they helped sponsor, and he must have had some influence with them because they let us keep out 3 JRT doggies with us in a secluded area they used to use as an office. So that was nice.
