Granny's gone and done it again

I really liked my Sapphire Gems too, Larry. They used to come RUNNING when I called them! Running, half-flying, flapping, it was a sight to see and warmed my heart! Sadly, they have pretty much outgrown it now that they are older, egg-laying dowagers, lol. They have serious business to attend to now!
how are they egg production and size wise. Comparable to what breeds ? PLEASE

TRAINS!!! :hugs :hugs:hugs
Been thinking of you, Kiddo, wondering how you been.
Don't recall if you mentioned losing Deacon, sorry to hear. Great pup, what an athlete! Name? Female?
Overall, I’ve been good. I’ve missed you guys but life is so busy.

Her name is Yuna. She’s 18 months old. I got her in March.

Nice size brown eggs. I didn't weigh or measure them but I would guess "Large." During that period this summer when I had to worm them they were laying like gangbusters, everybody was. I threw away over 300 eggs in a 24-day period and I had, I believe, about 20 potential layers, about 5 of whom were probably 3 to 4 years old so probably not laying at all. I didn't do the math. I have 5 Gems, 5 PBEs and the rest assorted breeds. Two SS, one BCM, 5 old EE. That's 21 total, sounds about right. I believe the SG are STILL laying faithfully, I'm still getting 4-5 brown eggs daily and as far as I know they are my only brown egg layers. I'm only getting 2 blue eggs a day now, and the PBEs are the same age as the Gems. I should be getting 5 a day each.

PP hasn't touched me yet and I know its been at least an HR. Think I will get off of here. Maybe if I stretch out it will help. If nothing else maybe it will take the pressure off my butt. A lot of skin came off today.
so you're say the old expression does NOT apply to you.

expression being "no skin off my a$$"

Why not? Is this a daily thing? Has he been doing it?
He said he cant because when he gives himself the same shot it really hurts. I assume that meant he didn't want to hurt Tom
Would’ja rather drive right through the river or creek instead?
YUP! LOL
Could the doctor maybe set up a visiting nurse? Home health care?
He just had one once a week that said he didn't need her and she wasn't coming back Insurance wont pay for more then that
DH had to take on of our red heelers in for his shots today. The vets we have now operate an all woman clinic. They are excellent vets and go out of their way to make the animals comfortable while they are there. Wish they would succeed with those four heathens of ours, lol.

Anyway, while he was waiting to be called back, he heard the receptionist answer the phone. Somebody asking how much to spay a dog. 480 dollars. Yikes! I asked if they made an appointment. Nope. I think it was a little over 200 when we had Rocki spayed. But just for shots and heart worm test it was 181 dollars. Sigh, oh well, it's only money.
It was a lot cheaper here for Fawns spay. Around $300. I think. Hard to remember.
Robert said $220 We were on a waiting list

I'm gonna have to sooner or later.
Then go
I hear you. I had to go on the modified diet when they discovered I had the chronic gastritis/colitis but then my Lipid profile was high and they put me on statins that I quickly discovered I couldn't tolerate. So I had a choice. Try more medicines or lose weight and eat healthier. I chose the latter, lost 25 pounds, brought my labs into range but OMG do I miss fried chicken and chocolate anything.

Admittedly I do cut loose over Christmas and eat cookies but as soon as the holiday is over, it's back on the diet. But it's amazing on how much chocolate I can cram in my face in a few short days.;)
when do you define Christmas is over?
