I think anyone would to protect their family. If your ever faced with someone holding a gun to your childrens head and you had a choice to save them wouldn't you?

I went ahead and took my bedtime meds while I was up. I think Robert is sleeping. Poor guy has been pretty bored today. IDK how he spends most of the day in his room. Its sad.

If someone had a gun to my child's head there wouldn't be much I could do about it. "Oh hey, would you mind holding on a second while I go get my gun out of the safe and load it? Yeah, thanks, be right back ..."

As for protecting my food, no I wouldn't. Other people are going to be hungry. I'd share whatever I've got with whoever needs it. I'm not shooting hungry, desperate people. There's only so much food and it's only going so far, then we're all in the same boat. Guarding what I've got only keeps me alive for what, a day or two? Sooner or later I have to sleep and then they kill me for it.
