It was a good visit. I was able to have a good talk with Tom. He is still some confused but not like he was. He was calm (drugged Im sure) but he was aware. He asked me how I was doing, was I sleeping ect... Said he could tell I was sick from my voice. His nurse said he will have ups and downs and today was an up for sure. Ill take it!

That’s good news. Did you see if he could come home?

Good evening, Sparrow. Doing pretty good here. Just an unwelcome change in temperature. At one point, it was twenty eight degrees colder than yesterday. Still above freezing though. But with clear skies, calm winds and dry air, they're saying we probably will hit freezing tonight. Be back up to seventy in a few days though.

Letting the fire go out in the wood stove, have to clean out the ashes to start over again. Think we have one warmish day before the cold starts again.

Long day on the road but all is well now. I got zapped really good up around the hair line and on and below my ears. Got my money's worth at the dermatologist today.

It got warm enough Ma used the AC while driving in the van today. Temps are more normal now without any freezes in the forecast for this week.

GC's puppy got hold on one of the hens yesterday, not seriously, just a little abrasion above the tail. Hen is in the house in the crate, have cleaned her up and put Neosporin on it. She didn't eat or drink much today but this evening she is pecking at her food and drinking now. Puppy is getting a crash course in leaving chickens alone though. By the time she is healed up (I'm thinking 2 or 3 days) and goes back outside, I don't think he'll be wanting to look at or get close to a chicken ever again.

We were gone from home early today and I got neither of my normal morning and afternoon naps. I need toothpicks to hold my eyes open.
