Generally yes, there is the occasional one that fails to preen the waxy substance from the feather shaft as it grows out. I select against that in my breeders. The roosters of this breed have some amazing tails. Do they take cae of them, themselves?

I'm glad you had a wonderful time! What a wonderful way to spend christmasWell my Mindi came. She wore a good mask. Even little Ashton wore one because he still had a bit of cough. Sad thing is, we are thinking he suffers with Asthma because of how often he gets sick. Going to get him checked.
I was happy she came. The grandkids and Jeff brought in folding tables and some chairs. As I watched everything - lol - literally unfolding, we had a feast. My grandson's wife cooked so much! Ham and turkey, all the fixings. Mindi made my recipe for Christmas cookies. I haven't had that taste in years. She makes them prettier than me.
I sat there, and did my best not to get into the ugly cry as I cried and thanked them for doing this. Our last Christmas here in this house. Presents were passed around. It actually snowed a bit this morning, something I was hoping I could watch from my front window one more time.
Not enough furniture to sit on, so the floor it was. View attachment 4014330View attachment 4014329View attachment 4014331View attachment 4014332View attachment 4014333
