Guilty..All related to a crappy diet. The diet of most Americans is terrible. We are very sick as a society, fast food, processed food, no exercise.
Me too it is a daily struggle. Christmas is hard. So much temptation.Guilty..
No.... having low thyroid can cause weight gain, but ....you ever read the side effects? I think it causes you to have a hard time losing weight.
If we were rich we would eat healthy I think. Just need to hire a good cook. LOLMe too it is a daily struggle.
ohh I see. My mom always blamed it on the meds. Of course we didn't have Google.No.... having low thyroid can cause weight gain, but ....
Once your underactive thyroid is successfully treated with levothyroxine, you should have the same ability to gain or lose weight as those with normal thyroid function, according to the ATA.
According to my labs, the Levothyroxine has me within normal limits. It's the metabolic disorders that are sabatoging my weight issues.
sounds harsh. no meat?My dietary mantra, since I became an Adventist at age 20 or so, has always been, "fruits, whole grains, vegetables and nuts." Nuts includes legumes (beans) and seeds. And moderate amounts, I've never been able to eat very much. I feel full very quickly. If I can eat a cup of food total at a meal, I'm doing good. I just can't eat much.
Yes, we eat chicken and sometimes fish, also ground turkey, but we don't eat meat every day. You know GC can't have mammal meat now but even before she got that allergy we probably only ate beef once or twice a month. Meat is not necessary for health if you know what you're doing. We don't miss it. We eat very well here.sounds harsh. no meat?
