The missing Ancona hen has been found after 3 full days without feed or water. She's pretty shook up but is OK. Brought her in and put her in a crate in the sun room with feed and water. She had crawled up into a roll of field fence and her wings were like barbs on a fishhook keeping her from backing out. I didn't spot her the first time I was where I found her. Tonight I saw just the shape of her tail feathers. I cut her out of the inside of the roll of wire with bolt cutters. I don't know who is more relieved her or me. I think what my eyes caught is the white egg she had laid at the end of the roll of wire.

She started eating immediately. I didn't stay and watch her but she has plenty of water to drink from.

Spent the summer of 67 roofing. Got to where I could throw a bundle of shingles on each shoulder and walk up the ladder with no hands.

We got our snow 2 days early. Hard telling how much since it's very windy. Our maybe we will get an additional 3 inches. Maybe it will blow away ....

Howdy everyone.

Got my bantam rooster that was severely pecked and being bullied back out in the coop. Spent most of the week building a dividing wall and door so I could section off a portion of the big coop for him. Got it done yesterday and out he and his Sweetie Pie moved. He was thrilled with the new digs and even happier when I put two more older bantam hens in with him so they could keep warm.

We are looking at up to 13 inches of snow for us starting tomorrow afternoon so we have been busily hauling wood into the shop for the stove. Yesterday I ran up to the Amish General Store and picked up a few things in case our new road commissioner doesn't live up to his promise to keep us dug out this winter.

Time will tell.

I had other things quoted. They disappeared on me.
I'm home honey! Bank is telling me I have more $ in my account then I know I should. I got home to a frantic message from them asking me to call them back ASAP! lol Ya, that's gonna take me a min. as I just got home.

social worker at the nursing home just don't like me and I don't understand why. Anyway, I hope I didn't say this already, We are expecting 8-12 inches of snow and ice Sunday into Monday. IF I cant get out to pick Tom up they will charge me $300.00 Thats the price of a 5 star hotel with room service. I said fine. Charge away.
