It's already down to 36° here now and I'll be out at 8 in the morning breaking ice in the coops so the girls and boys can drink. I'll be breaking ice for 3 straight mornings and again later in the week.

How are you heating the towel? Did you try heating a wet washcloth like I advised? You can keep heating it as often as you need to, and re-wet it, too. I find that keeping it in a zippie bag helps keep it moist longer.

I’m not sure. It could be. That’s what I’m worried about. A jaw infection. But none of my teeth hurt so idk. But my jaw/face/cheek does so I’m going to ask him.

Are studded tires still legal? When I had them there were speed restrictions because they were know to throw the studs out at to high of a speed. I think those tires were banned in the spring - fall months and maybe altogether later on in places due to the ear and tear on the pavement.

I think that varies by state/region. They are hard on pavement if there is no ice, so shouldn't be used anywhere when not icy.

Yes, this. They are perfect for icy conditions. They don't seem to help in snow. In VA we used chains for that.

It was a big deal if it snowed in Virginia when I lived there. Didn't get much back in the day. 60's
