Granny's gone and done it again

Ok. Plumber called. The kids had taken video of what was happening with the toilets after the horrible sound. The plumber says, it's a terrifying sound. It's just air. It's happened in his in house. Says people explain it in different ways. Sounded like an earthquake! Or, sounded like a Train running through the house. YEP.
Yesterday the fence guys came and used the outside faucet for what was probably the first time in close to a year. I heard pipes rattle when they turned it on and thought just that, it's been a while since that's been turned on.
The plumber said since the water was off for a while..remember I was upset when we did our walk through that the water was off, well the heat was on and that's good. Anyway, air settles in the pipes after a a while.
Soooo, Blue was right! Our house had a big burb! 😂
He's going to come by and check things out anyway. He isn't worried because our water pressure is still good. Plus we'll have the old water softener taken out. Need a new upper upper canister for the water heater too.
Well, that's a relief! Glad it's not serious. We're putting in a new water softener too. DH will take care of ours.

Ok, fires. Anyone in California being affected besides the rich and famous? Billy Crystal and wife to name one lost his home. :( More..
Paris Hilton. Adam Brody. James Woods. Leighton Meester. Anthony Hopkins. John Goodman. Miles Teller. Anna Faris.
No. Glad I don't live there anymore. We always have had a lot of fires, but this one is so much more devastating than most of them.

I saw a video of someone filming through the windows of their house at the billowing waves of fire all around him. Crazy guy. I understand he and his dog did get out in time.

This brings back memories of being taught about 1871 Chicago fire. Wonder if the story of a cow kicking over a coal oil lantern while being milked is true?

Wish you could have had that leg looked at before Tom came home, Granny.
Me too. I waited too long.
All depends on the area you need to cover. Give me the table dimensions and I will see what I can turn up. Do you have a Lowes or Home Depot any where close to you?
Lowes
Sorry to hear about your son in law's mother. Very sad indeed.

As for living in a rural area, it was a dream for both of us for all our lives, so when we retired we bought this place. We do love it here, but I keep trying to gently persuade DH to consider moving closer to the medical facilities. I have continual cancer screenings and he has continual heart screenings. Makes sense to be closer. But here we are. He loves it here. Not sure we will ever move. :idunno
I am in the same boat and feel just like your DH. I would rather be dead then shoved into a city
Well you have some blockages in your legs like Tom, right? Have you had your caffeine today?
yes I do and Im still drinking coffee from 9 am.
Does he use a walker?
yes, He was pushing it away when he fell once and the other almost fall was when he was using the urinal. It went flying of course
I'm a little concerned about Granny. It'll soon be noon for her and not a peep out of her yet today.
I'm sorry, yes, very busy! Also Nancy and Kevin is here.
@Granny Hatchet are you doing okay?
I'm good thank you!
I will need to get ready to leave for Danville soon. Ceramics class is tonight.
Hope everyone is doing ok. They predict 5" of snow tomorrow. Ugh.
3-6 here. sucks

Chore time here. Feed,Water, treats. Not putting them out as it is dangerous with hungry predators around this time of year when we are not out there with the kids. It's just to cold and I'm no good to them dead. Should take less than an hour. Got to fill everything to the max today as we may not be out there tomorrow in a frigid rain.
