Granny's gone and done it again

I have my garden ready to plant, but I am not planting much this year either. I am not allowed by the WWD to plant even one cabbage this year....Something to do with the 20 gallons of sauerkraut I put up last year..

I am not allowed any broccoli or Cauliflower because I have a freezer full still.

Not sure what I can plant. But I am cutting down to less than 40 hens this year and cutting hens is hard work, I don't now which ones to get rid of. So maybe I won't plant anything, and let the deer starve instead.
:lau You can always feed the extra broccoli and cauliflower to the chickens. I bet they will even eat the sauerkraut! I put in a bunch of tomatoes last year, and they did horribly. Waste of time and water. Biggest problem is an oak has grown up and shaded my raised beds. We either move them or cut down the tree. yeah, right... some year... Now the only thing I have growing is kale (for the chickens) and even that I have let go. Plants are 3 yrs old, and gone to seed after the Vicious Mass Aphid attack of 2017. Will pull them all and put new starts in this fall. At least kale likes the shade.

I read your interview and remember WWD is a fond reference to your wife... just can't remember what it is exactly. Wonderful Wifely Darling? Witty Warmhearted Delight? Anyway, I know it was something along those lines. :D
