I have an appointment at 3 pm to see somebody about my knee. I expect to get orders for an MRI, as I think I have a torn mrniscus. I don't know what to expect after that.

My MRI showed a lot of tearing and even a spot of bone on bone. A surgeon was going to clean it up for me. Had an appointment for the surgery even. I really didn't care for this guy for some reason. So, I canceled. Made an appointment with another surgeon. I went to him but by then my knee was feeling better. The gel shot had decided to work. Took a while like I had been told by the guy that did it. Said could take up to 2 weeks. Took 3! I told this new surgeon what was going on. He said yes, those can take a while and if its working for you that's great. He could pull up the MRI I had done. He said keep getting the shots as long as they are working for you.
I just got another one if you'll remember. A whole year later! It didn't take 3 weeks this time!
Make sure you get a surgeon that isn't quick to just do a surgery. When it's time, I'm going back to the surgeon that suggested to keep getting the shots.

I think you probably get what you pay for.

I bought mine at Walmarts. Its an Acer and that's all I know about it.

When I had my table top it was an Acer, loved it.

We may have someone who could help but at the moment I'm too crippled to get to them. I just about can't put weight on this leg at all. I had my GC wheel me around in a wheelchair at the clinic today, and have been using late MIL's walker since I got home. I'm a mess!

The NP I saw today said to take the Tizanidine for my leg, so don't be surprised if I crash out early.

It's a muscle relaxer. Your muscles around the knee isn't the problem.

We are only at the beginning of the process, Cynthia. Ins requires that she first write me a Rx for PT. And if/(WHEN) I can't tolerate PT due to pain, THEN she can order an MRI for me. THEN, based on what she sees there, she can order the shot, or surgery, or amputation, or what they do to horses, lol.

She's also taking me off the Meloxicam I take for arthritis and putting me on Naproxen for pain. I'll start in the morning.
