Granny's gone and done it again

Thanks, Twist.
I can touch my foot to the ground now, and when I'm sitting in my recliner I can now lift my leg a bit from the hip. I can wiggle my toes and waggle my ankle. But I can't lift my leg from the knee at all. It's like it isn't attached at that point. Insurance will not pay for another MRI so soon after the one I had last week. I have an appointment on the 12th at the ortho's, not to see the ortho dr., but to be evaluated by one of their NP's or PA's. Then I guess we will take it from there.

I am hoping and praying this is just a sprain or strain. I googled ACL tear and it's rather horrifying. They have to take a graft from elsewhere in your body, maybe a hamstring, and screw it in place. It can take up to a year of recovery.

Meanwhile I am camping out upstairs in my recliner. I can't accompany DH this Sunday to go pick up YS for his week of home leave, nor can I cook or look after my chickens. :hit I did manage to fold laundry today, although GC washed and dried it, and I washed 8 dozen eggs while she and DH hovered over me, fearful that I might fall. GC also cooked dinner, cleaned up after, gathered eggs and cleaned poop trays, bless her heart!

If you went to a different ER that does have the MRI I think you could get it done that way. I had the torn ACL or whatever its called. They used anchors in me so they can never come out. It was a failed surgery according to the surgeon. I wore the boot for a solid year minus a couple breaks from it. He left me crippled for life.
