Granny's gone and done it again

Good morning, oops, afternoon! Grannytopia!

:frow Hi, welcome. We're mostly old-timers here, too, so pull up a rocker and mosey along with the rest of us!

65° here at almost 4 pm. The sky is actually blue, amazing. Beautiful day. Wish I could get out in it but I'm quite comfy here in my recliner, Sammy mostly at my feet and Jenny at my side. DH had to go get YS by himself today but they are home now.

We almost had a crisis! The school had emailed as they always do, to say the pick-up time in St Louis would be 12:20, as it usually is. But YS texted me at 8 am to say he was on the bus already. Yikes! It is only a 2-hr ride for him, 3 hrs for us. DH jumped in the car and was off like a shot. The bus actually arrived a little after 10! DH got there shortly after. It was by the grace of God that YS texted me! If he hadn't ... I don't know what. The bus has to make another stop after his, and DH would not have gotten there for another two hours.
Why would they do that? Did they just dump him there?

It's evening but not one of the good ones here. It's a dreary evening and only 54° making it miserable out. We didn't let the girls out of their coops this afternoon as rounding them up in the rain would not be good. Also the conditions are right for predators to hunt during daylight hours.
Oh wow

My younger Days
When I was in my younger days, I weighed a few pounds less,
I needn't hold my tummy in to wear a belted dress.
But now that I am older, I've set my body free:
There's the comfort of elastic where once my waist would be.
Inventor of those high-heeled shoes my feet have not forgiven:
I have to wear a nine now, but used to wear a seven.
And how about those pantyhose, They re sized by weight, you see,
so how come when I put them on the cro tch is at my knee?
I need to wear these glasses as the print's been getting smaller:
And it wasn't very long ago I know that I was taller.
Though my hair has turned to gray And my skin no longer fits;
On the inside, I'm the same old me, It's the outside's changed a bit.

No, no! The bus was still unloading kids when DH got there. It's usually there for half an hour at least, getting the kids and all their stuff unloaded. I have no idea what they would have done if he hadn't showed up! And I don't know why we got misinformed as to the time. I'll be in touch with the school about it though.

anything could happen on the way to pick him up. That's a scary town to be left it..

I made a bunch of chicken noodle soup with extra broth, carrots, potatoes, zucchini, noodles and matzoh balls too take to the hospital tomorrow.
The hospitals chicken noodle soup has no broth and noodles are al dente. Never saw such terrible cooking. At least he can get mashed potatoes and ensure each meal. And the Dr said he may have all the ice cream he wants to keep his morale up.
My infusion is scheduled in the morning.

Sounds so good! I've never made matzo balls. I hope to, some day.
