Granny's gone and done it again

This one was red but like cherry red and a good 18 inches in the air! that's 8 months in the fridge
It will be fine, just plant it in a pot so the top of the bulb is out of the soil. It should flower later in the summer. Some of the bulbs I have planted in my bulb garden were brought from my childhood home. They have been in pots when we rented the house or were in the ground when we owned the place. They have been moved 5 times and are still going strong. One started blooming this week.

Tomorrow will be busy out side. Not so much for me. I can't help with what my kids are doing for me. Austin, Bronwyn, Mindi, and her hubby my son, their two kids, are coming to make me a flower bed and in the back a spot I can grow a couple of tomatoe plants. And, on the side there's already a planter box they will dig out. It's full of grass now. I imagine that the previous wife of the man that luve here had something nice growing in there. I'm thinking of what I could do. I know I'm putting a rose bush in front.
Yesterday after Bronwyn took me for my shots, we went and got garden borders and dirt. A lot of dirt.
I'm excited to look at a few flowers for my small area.

Wow, sturdy. I didn't know.

I took these pictures this evening from my front porch.
Pretty evening.
