Idiopathic Intracranial HypertensionOh really, what?
Um. And this means what?Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension
pressure inside the skull is high for no obvious reasonUm. And this means what?
Wow! Do they know what causes it or how to alleviate some of the pressure/pain?pressure inside the skull is high for no obvious reason
Um. And this means what?
What Iris said lolpressure inside the skull is high for no obvious reason
No. That’s what the idiopathic part means. Cause there’s also regular intracranial hypertension where they know the cause. That said, it can be from being overweight or certain medications or I think trauma too. So they do suspect some causes but not sure. And I’m somewhat overweight soooo… there’s also fluid in the optic nerves so yeah. So I’m being put on diamox. That’s what they usually use for this apparently. It helps with the fluid retention and the pressure. I also have to get an eye test for the pressure. And if none of this works, a spinal test. They take fluid out to test the pressure. I also have to get another MRI because my pituitary gland was positioned a little weird and she wants to make sure it’s normal.Wow! Sounds like your brain is about as messed up as mine. Do keep us updated on what you find out. I hope the med brings you some much needed relief. What Iris said lol
