Granny's gone and done it again

yes, dog chow. Well, I think they get tired of eating the same thing all the time

I'm sorry Cynthia, Im not there to see but I can imagine how traumatic this is for the both of you. I hope you can feel our arms and heart reaching out to both of you. ❤️ :hugs

How would you know if this is safe to eat?
Also, Umm... What kind of coffee pot is that?
I switch Brew between Dog Chow flavors cold turkey BUT! He never has any issues. It can take up to 12 weeks for some dogs to fully adjust to new foods. Probably less within the same brand but still. Some dogs you have to go VERY slow. Also any people food or treats could cause it too. Also lately I’ve been sticking to just Beef the last few bags and haven’t switched him to Lamb for a while. LOL he doesn’t really like Chicken although I did buy the 4.4 bag a couple weeks ago when I didn’t buy the big Beef bag in time and ran out of food LOL  but besides that, he’s been on exclusively Beef lately. But he loves Beef and Lamb best. I’ve also tried Little Bites (Chicken and Beef) briefly and Tender & Crunchy (Turkey and Lamb). He loved both of those. I have not tried the High Protein. I also fed the Purina One for a while but it got really expensive.

Sorry for rambling LOL

Yes it is awful and like I said, it wasn't even all that prevalent in Missouri. I looked it up at the time and there were under 10 reported incidents in the state. They say that after the age of 3 or 4 dogs are immune to the parasite so that is a plus but we look at standing water even our ponds differently now.
Oh wow that’s scary!!!!!!!!!!! Brew is 4 1/2 years old now so I guess he’s safe now?????????????

You weren't rambling, you were being informative!

I just switched our dogs to Purina from Pedigree and they are loving it. Took about 5 days to switch them over but they were on Pedigree for their whole lives so yeah, figured it was time for a change for them.

Not sure what flavor I got for them. I'll have to look about that. We buy the 44 pound bags and our gluttons eat about 50 pounds a month. Maybe even 60. Yeah, I put them on a diet this week.

Yep, should be. But look up incidents of Pythiosis in dogs in Massachusetts. Probably unlikely so far north but we were supposedly too far north also. There are no absolutes I guess.
