Granny's gone and done it again

Dishes are done and everything is laid out to make brunch-inner. I have to rest first. Robert has told me he doesn't feel like helping today so no biscuits and sausage gravy Instead its:
cheesy scrambled eggs, hash brown patty's, fried bacon flavored spam and toast w/ blackberry jam.

I think mine is the same way. Its when you cant see any dirt on top?It doesn't seem to be growing up, Just out wider and one part of it looks like a spawn but it started above the soil line so I wouldn't have a clue how to detach it from the mother plant.
I just break mine off at the roots, underground like you do when you separate iris and the like. I was surprised when I pulled mine from the pot that there was about three inches of dirt that it hadn't invaded yet. Each cluster had a substantial root ball to it.

Here I am yesterday making a mess on the living room floor but even unearthed you can see how tall they are. FYI, in comparison, I'm 5'2" inches tall, barely

I'm doing breakfast for dinner also. Waffles with eggs on the side. Over hard for DH, scrambled with some cheese for me. Beautiful day here today. 74°, sunny. I slept in to almost 9AM this morning after being asleep by 11:15. But woke up feeling better bronchitis wise and my shoulder wasn't killing me except my left arm was pins and needles as I was sleeping on my back. Danged cervical spine disc degeneration anyways.

Wow! That's some green thumb you have there, sister! Know anything about orchids???
Only that I would probably kill them dead if I ever got my hands on one.

Thanks for the complement Blue Girl.

I used to go to the local K'mart and find their clearance plants. Get them for 1$, bright them home and see if I could nurse them back to health. Mostly did. When they got too big I would sell them at rummage sales and start with new plants.

Thanks to having cats I do mainly succulents now and things that I know cats won't nibble on, like Geraniums and Canna Lilies. They will nibble on new growth leaves from the Cannas but I use bitter apple spray on them and no more munching; I had a crown of thorns that was so big that I wound up giving it to the church and a Christmas cactus that I won grand championship with at the local fall festival back in IL. It died after I transplanted it a couple years later.

I've talked to people who raise orchids and they say that basically people tend to be too good to them and they wind up being killed by kindness.

Have to admit that I would like to try my luck with one some time.

Hm. The only thing I do with my orchids is what it says on the label: give ice cubes once a week. Maybe I give them too many cubes. I'll cut back. And talk mean to them, lol.
