If you have an old metal pot, you could screw it onto a flat square board.

I did something similar last week. Felt like I stretched out a ligament or something. I had trouble walking for a few days. Hurt like the joint was coming apart. I think it was from squatting down to pull weeds. Lot of weeds... lot of squatting. (like your turkey! )
