So CT doesn't show bleeds? I hate waiting.

CT is quicker and will show fractures and bleeds. MRI is more detailed and will show more subtle changes in the brain. Waiting is the hard part.

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday guys. Didn't feel well. Thought I had beat whatever has gotten grip of my stomach, whether GI virus or my usual gastritis but I spent the day on the sofa being miserable. Even canceled my appointment with my osteo and rescheduled for next week. Did go to PT this morning. Woke up with my stomach feeling better. Just tired this morning. Back of my head is sore as a boil and I have a sore neck but otherwise I survived my fall okay.

@Granny Hatchet. So sorry to here about Tom but I was suspecting he was septic as high as his blood sugar is. I agree 100% with @Rambling Iris. Another reason for doing the MRI is the possibility of change in mental status/confusion. They will be able to tell if something like dementia is progressing and or if he is developing some other memory disorder.

They can tell if anything they've seen in previous studies has changed.

Granny you have so much on your shoulders right now. Too many of us know what you are going through, having dealt with the same thing with either parents or spouse. Like Misty said, same here. PM me if you need an extra shoulder. Well, one and 3/4s in my case. You do what you have to do to get help for yourself and for Tom. You can't do this by yourself.

As for the band-aide kerfuffle, Yeah, bull cookies. A hospital with no band aides....if that happens again, go back with Tom....go treasure hunting when they leave you alone, Trust me. There are band aides in those rooms and drawers. I'm not promoting pilfering. It's wrong to steal but it's also not acceptable for you to be forced to bleed on the floors and walls. There are also alcohol swabs.Remember. God helps those who help themselves, especially when nobody will help you...in a hospital? Good Lord help us is all I can say.

Got my bladder, kidneys, and my one ovary ultrasounds done. Wasn't expecting the ovary and kidneys. I mentioned I wasn't sure which ovary was left after my hysterectomy. Right side. He asks, see those white spots? I still have a lot of eggs. Good blood flow to everything. Didn’t see anything in my bladder. Another radiologist will look at it, then send to the gal that ordered it.

Both of my parents had what they told me were multi infarct mini strokes. My mothers brain was like a Swiss cheese they told me. While not as damaging as 'big' stroke they can be devastating when it comes to causing dementia and personality changes. My mothers mini strokes caused her to become violent so it is important to keep track of what is happening.

I worked in a couple of retail stores before I went to nursing school. I know what you mean about people not having any common sense. I have heard Mom's tell their children to go play in the toy department while they did the shopping! They didn't have to clean up the mess those kids made! And don't get me started about management's lack of sense! Hope you are having a great day.
