Today has been pound your head against the nearest post day for me. Back to God grant me patience and I want it NOW!

I can't take NSAIDs other than Tylenol for pain. Nothing oral for inflammation due to the stomach and gut bleeds I had back in 21 so doctor wants me to take the RX Ultram for my degenerative disc disease pain, arthritis and diverticular disease pain. So I call today over to HyVee in Kirksville where I get my meds to refill before Thanksgiving so we can pick it up on Monday. They refused to refill it. Said I couldn't refill for another month. Seems like the doc who filled in for my doctor the last time it was ordered got the instructions wrong. So the amount they gave me was supposed to last for two months instead of one. Okay. This is fixable. Told them to check my RX history. They did. Said I was right and they were going to fax the doctor for a clarification on the RX. Got off the phone, told DH that I didn't trust these people and called the doctor myself. By the time they called me back they said they had never received the fax and if I hadn't called till I got to talk to somebody I wouldn't have gotten it fixed before Monday.

Ready to kick the pharmacy to the curb and go with Walmart and I'm not all warm and fuzzy about them but tired of the BS every time I need my pain med ordered.

It isn't supposed to be this hard to be old.

@Granny Hatchet, you have to be your own best advocate. I made 2 calls to the pharmacy today and 3 to the doctors before I got things resolved. I swear it's like mating elephants. Lots of pushing shoving and bellowing and then 22 months to get results. But you have to keep at them. Don't give up and don't let them kick you around. You have been through enough but you are tougher than you think.
