Got it! I thought that part went across his back. Melissa went to Pet Smart today to get a stand for Ryder's food and water bowls. I also had her get Sammy a muzzle, ssince we have to treat his ears every day for a week and we should be treating his feet, too.

There is a part that goes on his back too but I’m not sure which side it is in the pic LOL but the one with grey/white hairs is from his chest

Ah yah, no problemo with the muzzle. I'll hold him and Melissa will put the drops in. Then, still cuddling him, I'll massage his ears a bit before we release him. We did this today and it worked well. He was so focused on the muzzle, I think, that he didn't much notice the ears until we were done. It's an oil so it didn't bother him much. We also have to flush his ears with a wash three times a week for two weeks and it's cold and he REALLY doesn't like that! But we'll manage. She worked for a veterinarian for a while and learned a lot, plus she's fearless.
