Granny's gone and done it again

The thing about sleep apnea is that it goes hand in hand with a multitude of health problems including A-Fib and heart failure, Heart attack, COPD, Arrhythmias in general along with Generalized mortality.

There are other treatment options available besides C-PAP machines. I have to say that DH does fantastic with his. His number of events when they did his first sleep study was very high. His second study where they tried him on a C-PAP eliminated them by like 95%. His cardiologist told him that without control of the apnea, control of his A-Fib would be a lot harder. Good motivation.
Well I knew my last test was good because they always start off with no mask and usually bring it in when I have too many episodes. They never brought it in all night.
Personally, I wouldn't count on mouth tape. What happens if your nose plugs up due to sinus problems, colds or allergies? I'd suffocate as my sinuses are always partially blocked. The CPAP head unit that he uses forces him to breathe through his nose. I tease him that when he opens his mouth it sounds like I'm sleeping in a wind tunnel but other than that all we ever hear is a soft hum from the motor in the machine itself.

Nancy canceled on me again. She said we are getting a snow storm tomorrow. I haven't found that. Anyway, the stress test is canceled yet again.Half of it anyway. Still trying for the other half. Waiting on a call back.
Aussies are know for their brain power. Sounds like you got a good one MC.
That’s too bad. Sounds like she is just wore out. Call your worker. Your insurance should give you a ride.

When I have a cold I can’t use my machine anyway. Can’t use it in the summer. I get too hot. I am not running the air all night.

Then how do you control your sleep apnea? There are also full face masks that you can use that allow you to breathe through your mouth. DH has one to use as back up when his sinuses are blocked by allergies or URIs.

Have you ever tried irrigating your nose to flush out debris and allergens? We both do it daily. Not pleasant but effective.

Bummer. I'm sure it will happen for you, Granny, when is the big question. If they crawl on you about it tell them to furnish transportation and you will be there tomorrow. That usually backs them off.

Actually Pi is half border collie and half Sheba Inu. Brains from the BC half and drama queen from the SI although Sheba's are notoriously smart.

Morning all fighting sleep over here
I fought and lost, lol! Had a good morning nap. I sleep sitting up in my recliner at about 45° and use a neck pillow. I turn it part way around so it's under my chin to help keep my mouth shut. This helps my breathing and also helps the dry mouth problem. I can sure tell if it's not in place!

Umm.. home made? Eggs? Robert made me a box of cook and serve last night. I'm one of the weird ones that likes the skin so he poured it into 2 bowls. 2 cups and I ate every bite.
I think she meant from "scratch" which is more than doable. Egg's help thicken the mixture and add some richness/creamyness.
